June 12 — Sierra Nevada Republican Women’s Membership Luncheon Meeting with guest speaker Diane Beinschroth, an International speaker and coach, facilitating leadership seminars for thousands around the world. Join us at our June luncheon/meeting at Tahoe Ridge Winery Marketplace & Bistro, 1644 Highway 395, Minden on Wednesday, June 12. Buffet opens at 11:30 A.M. and meeting begins promptly at 12:00 noon. The Nevada Legislature is in session and there are important issues at stake.

To find out what bills are ‘hot’ according to NLAC, National Legislative Affairs Committee, a non-partisan Constitutional watch-dog group.     Go to:  http://ccrccgop.com/nlac.html   Here’s a quick summary of the bills NLAC defines as ‘hot:’  SJR3, SJR2, SB76,* SB74, SB63,* SB60, SB36, SJR15*   AB12,  AB26,* AB31, AB35, AB38, AB41, AB48, AB54, AB58, AB65, AB77  IP1*  Teacher’s Union bill
    *indicates “high alert"     
  5. Another bill of great concern is AB227 that would start the process to return Nevada lands to Nevada.  Over 85% of Nevada’s land is controlled by the Federal Government.
